Today in Room 2 we had a very exciting visit from Dr. Osman the anaesthetist. We were learning lots of words starting with the 'dr' blend. We then learnt that Dr is also short for 'Doctor'.
Dr Osman told us all about his important job at the hospital.
Our 'News Bear" had to have an operation.
Sadie gave him a final pat before the operation commenced.
Dr.Osman used his stethescope to listen to 'News Bear's' heart and lungs.
'News Bear' had his anaesthetic or 'sleepy medicine'.
He had to wear a mask to help him breathe.
Once the operation was completed, Dr. Osman gave him some medicine to help him wake up.
He felt much better!
We listed to some 'dream music' and practised our relaxation on the carpet.
